What This Bot Does

Album of the Day Bot is a Telegram bot that runs a daily music sharing activity in a group chat. Each day, the bot posts a music theme. Participants reply with song suggestions, and the bot creates a summary and YouTube playlist of the day's submissions.

Information We Collect

When you interact with the bot, we collect and store:

• Telegram profile information: Your Telegram user ID, username, first name, and last name (as provided by Telegram when you send a message).
• Song submissions: The text of your song submissions (artist name, song title, or music links you share).
• Usage data: Timestamps of your interactions and submission counts.

We do not collect passwords, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or location data.

How We Use Your Information

• To process your song submissions and reply with song details and cross-platform links.
• To generate daily summary messages listing the day's submissions (your Telegram display name appears alongside your submissions).
• To create daily YouTube playlists containing submitted songs.
• To provide personal stats when you use the /stats command.

Third-Party Services

To provide its features, the bot sends limited data to the following services:

• Telegram Bot API: All bot messages are sent and received through Telegram's infrastructure. Telegram's own privacy policy applies to your use of Telegram.
• YouTube Data API (Google): Song titles and artist names may be sent to YouTube to search for matching videos and to create playlists. Google's Privacy Policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
• Odesli (song.link): Music URLs you submit may be sent to Odesli to generate cross-platform links (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.).

Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored on a private server. We retain submission data indefinitely to maintain historical summaries and playlists. YouTube playlists created by the bot are unlisted (not publicly searchable, but accessible via direct link).

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties beyond the service integrations described above. Your submissions and display name are visible to other members of the Telegram group as part of the daily summary.

Your Rights

You can stop interacting with the bot at any time by leaving the group or simply not sending messages. If you would like your stored data deleted, contact the bot administrator.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
